The mission of the Comal County Office of Public Health & Emergency Preparedness (CCOPHEP) is to coordinate plans on how to respond before, during, and after any incident that would involve a health response including bioterrorism, natural disasters, pandemic influenza, smallpox, avian influenza, and any other public health emergency. The office is also working to educate the public on how to prevent the spread of any pandemic outbreaks and on how to plan and respond for a public health emergency.
